Kim sprinted across the small apartment, startling Abi, who was sitting on the couch watching the television, as she did. Aram was sitting at a drafting table up against one of the beige walls; Kim drummed her palms on his shoulder to get his attention. The front door was set into the wall to Aram's left, and as the doorknob turned, Kim merely grabbed Aram's head to physically turn him to look at it.

Felix opened the door, letting Hawk--who hunched very slightly to keep from brushing his head against the top of the door frame--in behind him. Aram and Abi both began to rise from their seats, mouths open in shock; Hawk smiled, looking almost self-conscious of the attention, as Kim bounced over to greet him with her hands over her mouth.

Yoshi and Liya spent the evening in Yoshi's room, which was cozy and dark. They sat on the bed while Yoshi told a transfixed Liya stories by lamplight.

Parker and Teige leaned against a railing overlooking a canal, surrounded by little orange lights in the deep night. The water shone faintly as they shared a smoke, talking quietly.
