Liya paused in Hawk's doorway, looking around with mild surprise. "Oh, you decorated some."
The little room was more lived in than Liya's, in that there were a couple pieces of furniture in addition to a similarly half-made bed and low, long counter. There was a small table with a single stool; the table even had a runner on it, on top of which a potted plant sat. More plants clustered near the window on the counter or among the things on the shelves beside it. There were even a few objects on the walls, including Hawk's radio, which hung above the bed.
Hawk was stooped over the low counter, sorting through the things in the large bag he'd brought in. "Just some," he said, regarding the decoration. "Whatever I pick up here an' there."
Liya went to join him at the counter, having brought her own much smaller tote. Hawk began passing her a few things from the contents of the bag, as she opened her tote to transfer them into.
"...How long do you think we're gonna stay here?" Liya asked after a while.
"What's the matter with this place?" Hawk wanted to know, smiling wryly, "Besides the ceilings bein' so low."
To prove his point, he reached overhead and brushed his fingers against the ceiling, which was only a few inches above the top of his head.
"N-no, I mean..." Liya said awkwardly, "here, in Aetheri."
Hawk lowered his hand. "Oh," he said, surprised. "Wull, where else would we go?"
"I dunno," Liya muttered, fidgeting with the straps on the tote bag.
"Enodia?"
"I guess."
"Do you want to leave Aetheri?"
Liya didn't immediately answer, seeming almost taken aback by the question.
